If you are tested positive and under quarantine, you are not alone. If you feel unwell or uncertain about your health condition, our doctors are here to help. Consult a board licensed doctor anytime via video or phone. 


For a limited time, telehealth consults are FREE of charge, courtesy of the Penang state government and our volunteer doctors. It's available to all levels of the Penang community including foreigners who reside in the Penang state. It’s a joint CSR effort brought to you by the Penang state government, PgCare Alliance, DoctorTouch and its dedicated team of volunteer doctors.

 How To Book A Consult


1. Click 'Book Appointment' button.

2. Choose 'Primary Care'. Click 'Next'

3. Select 'Malaysia'. Scroll down.

4. Enable Video/Phone & Search Doctor.

5. Select doctor. Choose 'date and time'.

6. Select Video or Phone.

7. Skip Pharmacy. Answer 'Questionnaire'.

8. Wait for doctor confirmation.

9. For video, click 'Enter Appointment'. 

10. For phone call, wait for doctor to call.

 Option To Record Vital Signs

If you are tested as Category 2 or Category 3, you can keep track of your health and condition by using an oximeter and thermometer. 


DoctorTouch enables you to record daily Spo2 and temperature using your smartphone. You may input measurements at anytime during your quarantine. Your vital sign readings can be viewed securely by doctors who consult with you.

  • Who can use the virtual care or teleheath service?

    You can only use this service if you have been tested positive for COVID-19 and presently under 10-day home quarantine. You may not use this service if you are no longer under home quarantine. This service is open to all levels of the community including foreigners residing in Penang until further notice.

  • How much does the virtual consult cost?

    The virtual consult cost is FREE courtesy of Penang state government. 

  • Are the doctors board certified and licensed?

    All our doctors are board certified and hold active licenses to practice medicine in Malaysia.

  • If I do not speak English, can I choose a Chinese or Malay speaking doctor?

    Yes you may. Before booking your doctor’s appointment, you may browse and select a doctor. Some doctors display the languages they speak. 

  • Which is better? Video or phone consults?

    Normally, it’s up to you. Everyone has their own preference. Phone consults have reportedly been the easiest and most convenient to connect with your doctor. You can also choose video consults if you prefer. For video consults, ensure your device or DoctorTouch app is allowed to access the camera and microphone.

  • What happens if I am not able to connect with my doctor via video?

    No worries, if you are unable to connect with your doctor via video call due to a technical issue, your doctor will try to contact you via phone call. 

  • How long is a virtual care consult?

    A virtual care consult via video or phone can be from 10-15 minutes at the most. 


  • Will I still have my patient account after 10 days?

    Your patient account will be removed from our system after 10 days. If you wish to remain on DoctorTouch, please email us at: support@doctortouch.com


  • What are the operating hours for this service?

    You may book your appointments between 9.00 am to 10pm daily. 

  • What do I do if I am experiencing an emergency?

    If experiencing an emergency, call an ambulance or dial 999.

  • What if I am not able to get help or an ambulance?

    Please call PgCare Alliance helpline at 04-642-7777

  • What if I want to cancel or reschedule my doctor's appointment?

    On our mobile app, you may send a message to Admin. You may also send an email to support@doctortouch.com

    State your Full name and mention that you like to cancel or reschedule your appointment.

  • How do I get help using DoctorTouch mobile app?
