COVID-19 Response

Today, in the face of the coronavirus (COVID-19) threat, we remain dedicated to supporting these populations who are at greater risk of becoming seriously ill due to COVID-19, as well as the organizations that serve them. Here are just some of the steps we have taken:

  • Catering To Multicultural Groups. DoctorTouch implemented a free risk assessment test built in accordance to the World Health Organization guidelines. Built-in the DoctorTouch app, it's offered in 4 different languages: English, Bahasa Malaysia, Simplified Chinese & Tamil. It's a comprehensive question and answer test. The results will provide users an indication and a plan of action.

  • Contribution to CSR Effort. In partnership with HMC Clinic, we offered FREE COVID-19 and non COVID-19 related consults till May 31st 2020. This was applicable to users who have taken our free risk assessment test but still needed answers. Starting June 2020, paid consults will start to apply.

  • Workplace Health and Safety Precautions. We are following the current recommendations and guidance of the MOH (Ministry of Health) — as well as safeguards implemented by local governments — to protect employees’ health and safety. With on-demand viewing of digital medical imaging coupled with our robust telehealth kiosks & remote patient monitoring technology, we are positioned to triage with employees, laboratories and doctors.

  • R2-DT Telehealth Kiosk. The 2021 launch of our custom built R2-DT telehealth kiosk will help employers to continue monitoring health conditions of their employees resulting in better productivity. Employers can alleviate risks to the workforce and disruptions at the workplace. Learn more about our unique program designed for businesses of all sizes, telehealth benefits for employees

  • Telehealth For Patients Under Home Quarantine - In a joint CSR effort with PgCare Alliance, a coalition of NGOs collaborating with the Penang State Government, we launched a statewide initiative to provide Telehealth for Patients Under Home Quarantine. Starting September 18th, 2021, Penang residents who are tested positive with a 'Quarantine Letter' or 'Motion Surveillance Order' on their MySejahtera app may qualify to register for the service. Consults are FREE of charge, courtesy of the Penang state government and our panel of board licensed volunteer doctors.

This is a critical moment in our nation’s health. As we progress towards an endemic, let’s work together to address it.
